"We had keys to the game that we wrote on the whiteboard before the game, and we knew if we did those things and took away some of the things that they love to do, that we could go get it and execute on offense and get out to a good lead. They do a great job of crashing the glass. They're very athletic and quick, so we have to be physical with them and make sure that we've got to come up with a lot of 50-50 balls. That was one of the keys to the game, and I think we did a great job on it." – Marcus Georges-Hunt

"Just really contest his shots. Watching film on him, he's great with the ball and he does a lot of hesitation moves to try to get you to jump and get out of position and try to make you, like I said, go for all his fakes. But just contesting a lot of his floaters, because that's what he was good at, looking at his film." – Georges-Hunt on defending Houston guard Rob Gray, the team's leading scorer, to nine points on 2-for-9 shooting.

"We had an emotional game a week and a half ago against Pittsburgh with what we thought would be the last home game, and so sometimes you worry about coming back, because the guys have kind of put that in the (past), but it's great for those seniors to walk off the court the last time with that win and with the students there and all that. They're going to remember that the rest of their lives." – Brian Gregory on the final home game of the season

"He's 15 pounds away from being a tremendous, tremendous player, and you saw it (Wednesday). He's got great hands, he can block shots he rebounds in traffic. Fifteen pounds and me keep telling him that he's got a chance to be great, and him believing me, because he can do it all. He's really, really good. He was a force in that second half." – Gregory on center Ben Lammers

"(The team) won eight more games than last year, six more league games and we've just got to keep building and keep doing what we're doing. And our guys have been tremendous. For them, especially our seniors, to be able to hang their hat on the fact that they've done something that a lot of teams over the last 20 years haven't done, and we've still got a lot of fight left in us, I just feel good for them. For me, to beat a team as well coached as that – Houston – and for the program, just very, very proud tonight." – Gregory
