Georgia Tech commits TD Roof and Jaytlin Askew already made their decisions to become Yellow Jackets next season, but that doesn’t mean they’re finished with the recruiting process.

Along with other Tech commits, Roof and Askew are actively targeting and recruiting senior athletes who they think would be good fits for their signing class in a group message containing all 2017 Tech commits.

"In the chat, we talk, but we're still recruiting — w e recruit a lot," Askew said. "There's going to be a lot of commits that people aren't going to see coming because we're always recruiting them. We're talking to a lot of defensive lineman, quarterbacks. We're trying to look for something that's going to help us when we get there and that's what we do in the group chat as well, we recruit. A lot of people are going to be shocked who's coming."

Although Swilling, a 3-star cornerback from New Orleans, La., spearheads the recruiting project , Askew, a 3-star cornerback from McEachern High School in Douglasville, Ga., says Roof is also a large part of the campaign.

"Tre and TD, they're pretty convincing," Askew said. " We created (the group chat) really after Tre and Roof had committed. All the commits that are in that group chat and all future commits, are all in the same group chat. We really just bond together and we call ourselves the family before we actually get there to Tech."
