Georgia State and Dickey Broadcasting have renewed their agreement to broadcast the school’s football and men’s basketball games, as well as some women’s basketball and baseball games, for the next three years.
The games can be heard on 1340AM. Coaches’ shows for football and men’s basketball can be heard on 1340AM and will be re-aired on 680AM and 93.7FM. A women’s basketball coaches show is also going to be added.
Chuck Oliver will host the football coaches’ radio show. Dates and times for the show have yet to be determined. Dave Cohen will continue as play-by-play man for football and men’s basketball.
All-Conference: Baseball players Joey Roach, Matt Rose and Ryan Blanton were named to the Sun Belt All-Conference first team on Tuesday.
Roach is the fourth player in school history to earn first-earn all-conference honors more than once. He is batting .314 with seven home runs and 39 RBI.
Rose, a junior and first baseman, leads the conference with 15 homers and 44 RBI.
Blanton is likely out for the rest of the season with an injury but is batting .330 with six homers and 22 RBI.
APR: Softball, men's golf and women's cross country were recognized by the NCAA on Wednesday after receiving multi-year APR scores of 1,000.
APR, or Academic Progress Rate, provides schools a real-time look at academic success each semester by tracking the progress of all student-athletes on scholarship.
The multi-year APRs for all sports will come out May 27.
