Saturday’s Georgia-Auburn football game in Athens will start at 7:15 p.m. and will be televised on ESPN, it was announced today.

The time was set after CBS chose Mississippi State’s game at Alabama for its 3:30 p.m. SEC telecast Saturday.

CBS last week deferred a decision between Georgia-Auburn and Mississippi State-Alabama until today. Alabama’s victory over LSU and Auburn’s upset loss to Texas A&M made the choice predictable.

Georgia and Auburn will enter Saturday’s game with two losses apiece — Georgia’s to South Carolina and Florida, both currently unranked; Auburn’s to No. 1 Mississippi State and unranked Texas A&M.

In rankings released today, Auburn is No. 9 in both the Associated Press and coaches’ polls, down from No. 3 last week. Georgia is No. 16 in the AP poll and No. 14 in the coaches’, up from No. 17 in both of those polls last week

Mississippi State is ranked No. 1 in both the AP and coaches’ polls, while Alabama is ranked No. 4 by AP and No. 3 by the coaches.

New rankings from the College Football Playoff selection committee will be released Tuesday night.
