Freshman All-America honors for Tech’s Freeman

Dec 16, 2014

Georgia Tech defensive end KeShun Freeman was recognized for his standout play with his selection to two freshman All-America teams Tuesday.

Freeman, who leads the team and all ACC freshmen in sacks (4.5) and tackles for loss (9.0), was named to the USA Today Freshman All-America team and the ESPN True Freshman All-America team. After enrolling in January, Freeman has started 11 games this season, earning praise for his relentless effort.

Freeman, who turned 19 in November, was previously named to the 247Sports True Freshman All-America team. He was perhaps at his best against Virginia Nov. 1, when he had five tackles, one for a sack, a forced fumble, a pass breakup and a blocked punt. He was named ACC defensive lineman of the week for his efforts.
