If you missed it, Greg Frady picked up his 200th win as Georgia State's baseball manager in a 7-6 victory over Boston College on Sunday.
It was a solid week for Frady and the Panthers (7-5), which won three out of four games against teams from the SEC and ACC.
The Panthers defeated Georgia 10-7 and then took two out of three against the Eagles in St. Petersburg.
Before the season, Frady thought this could be one of the best hitting teams he’s had and so far he’s right.
The Panthers lead the CAA in batting average (.333) and runs per game (8.6) as they prepare to open conference play on Friday against George Mason. Before that, Georgia State will host North Carolina-Asheville for a two-game series on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Frady is second on Georgia State’s all-time in list, trailing only Mike Hurst (293).

Freshman center fielder Josh Merrigan is the Panthers’ leading hitter at .449. He leads the conference in hits (22) and runs scored (15) and is tied for second in RBI (13)… Left fielder Chris Triplett hit two home runs last week and leads GSU with three homers … Freshman INF-RHP Matt Rose hit .333 with five RBI in the four games last week. He also pitched three scoreless innings in the win over Georgia to earn his first save … Caden Bailey has a 15-game hitting streak.
