Quarterback Justin Fields was one of a league-high five Georgia players named to the SEC All-Freshman team released Thursday.

Fields had a combined 594 yards and eight touchdowns rushing and passing as a backup to Jake Fromm for the Bulldogs (11-2), who will play Texas in the Sugar Bowl Jan. 1.

Other UGA players named to the team were offensive linemen Cade Mays and Isaiah Wilson, defensive lineman Jordan Davis and punter Jake Camarda. Georgia’s five players were the most on the team followed by Alabama and Texas A&M with four players each.

The team was voted on by the SEC's head coaches, who were not permitted to vote for their own players.
