Georgia Tech received a fifth commitment for its 2021 signing class, this one from a defensive end who becomes the highest-rated prospect in the group.

Douglas County High’s Joshua Robinson announced his commitment to Tech on Wednesday, the second prospect to decide on the Yellow Jackets in as many weeks. Robinson, listed at 6-foot-4 and 235 pounds, picked Tech over scholarship offers from Florida, Florida State, Notre Dame and Stanford, among many others. He announced his offer from Tech on Feb. 3.

Robinson is a three-star prospect rated the No. 544 player nationally (247Sports Composite). He is the highest-rated commit in Tech’s class to this point, ahead of wide receiver Malik Rutherford (No. 664) from Hialeah, Fla. He is the No. 44 player in the state of Georgia. He is the second defensive end in the class, following Grey Carroll of Alcoa, Tenn.

On his highlight video, Robinson shows a good burst off the line of scrimmage, quick feet and an ability to use his long reach to wrap up ball carriers.
