Kevin Corless was promoted to co-defensive coordinator by Georgia Southern football coach Jeff Monken on Tuesday.
Corless joined the Eagles as linebackers coach in Jan. 2012. He will work alongside Jack Curtis.
The duo were previously co-defensive coordinators at Arkansas State in the Sun Belt Conference. They also worked together at Northwestern State.
Corless has coached seven players who have been selected in the NFL draft since 1998. He is a graduate of Northwest Missouri State.
