Georgia freshman tailback Nick Chubb posted his seventh consecutive game of 100-plus rushing yards Saturday, the longest such streak by a UGA player since Herschel Walker in his Heisman Trophy-winning season of 1982.

In that season, Walker had 11 consecutive 100-yard games, including the bowl. In Walker’s freshman season of 1980, he had eight 100-yard rushing games but no more than four in a row.

Chubb ran for 129 yards on 25 carries against Georgia Tech, getting most of his yardage early in the game. He had 99 yards rushing on nine carries in the first quarter, including a 65-yard gain, but added only 30 yards on 16 carries thereafter.

He also caught three passes for 36 yards.
