Wide receiver Marlon Williams from Mobile, Ala. received a home visit from Georgia Tech on Thursday.

Williams, a 6-foot-1, 185 pound senior from McGill Toolen High School, announced his visit on Twitter writing, "Had a great home visit with Georgia Tech."

Williams is expected to take an official visit to Tech the weekend of Jan. 27.

But Williams isn’t just another recruit — he has some Yellow Jacket connections.

Tech commits Bruce Jordan-Swilling and brother Tre Swilling have been friends with Williams since they were children and the two Tech commits are trying to convince their friend to join them in the fall in Atlanta, Ga.

“We’re childhood friends and we grew up together and played for the same AAU teams so I actually think we’re going up there that weekend with him,” Jordan-Swilling said. “We’re going to take another unofficial.”

Along with his visit from Tech, Williams also received a home visit from UCF offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach Troy Walters on Thursday.

Williams has offers from Cincinnati, LSU, Missouri, NC State, Ole Miss, South Alabama, Southern California, Southern Miss, Tennessee, Troy and UCF.
