With the assistance of the Harlem Globetrotters, Georgia Tech students designed and created a Rube Goldberg machine that launched a basketball through a hoop.

The machine was built at the school’s digital fabrication lab, a semester-long project in which 34 students participated. They made 12 separate machines, and students from the school of music supplied the soundtrack.

Globetrotter Buckets Blakes was there to start the contraption.

The Globetrotters will play four games in metro Atlanta, two games March 3 at Infinite Energy Arena in Gwinnett County and two more March 10 at Philips Arena.
