Kennesaw State football coach Brian Bohannon has added two more members to his staff.

Tim Glanton, formerly head coach at South Paulding since 2006, has agreed to join as an assistant coach and Jay Bailey, formerly equipment manager at Georgia State, has agreed to join as director of football operations.

Bohannon declined to comment on either hire until the human resources process is completed.

Glanton hasn’t returned a text or voicemail, but tweeted from @timglanton Tuesday that: “I am very excited to be part of the Kennesaw State Coaching Family. They have a Great Administration and a great man in Coach Bohannon.”

Bohannon and Glanton have known each other since Bohannon was a graduate assistant at West Georgia.

South Paulding’s field is named after Glanton: Timothy D. Glanton Sr. Field.

Glanton has also coached at East Paulding.

Bohannon has said in the past that he will decide on titles for most of the coaches after more of the staff is settled.

Bohannon previously hired Grant Chesnut, formerly head coach at Central (Carroll) High School, as offensive coordinator and Liam Klein and Shane Bowen in jobs that have yet to be decided. Klein and Bowen worked with Bohannon at Georgia Tech.

Bailey has worked at Georgia Tech, Cincinnati and Illinois as equipment manager. Bailey lives near Kennesaw State’s campus.
