Five key moments for Georgia

1. Season-saving tackle. With Georgia leading Vanderbilt 33-28 and 15 seconds remaining on Oct. 15, the Commodores block Drew Butler's punt and have a clear path to the end zone. Instead, Butler recovers and chases down a stumbling Kenny Ladler. Vandy is eventually stopped, preserving the Bulldogs' hopes of playing for the SEC championship.

2. Fourth-down fireworks. Facing fourth-and-5 and trailing Florida by 14 with seconds remaining until halftime, Aaron Murray hits Michael Bennett for a touchdown that sparks the Bulldogs to a 24-20 victory Oct. 29, just their fourth in the past 22 games in the rivalry.

3. Fummmmble. Trailing lowly Kentucky 10-9 on Nov. 19 and its hopes of playing at the Georgia Dome in jeopardy, Quintavius Harrow tackles the Wildcats' Ashely Lowery on a kickoff return and forces a fumble that Brandon Bogotay recovers at the 30-yard line. The Bulldogs kick a 39-yard field goal to take a 12-9 lead and eventually win 19-10 to clinch the SEC East.

4. DEEE-fense. Georgia's defense forces and recovers a fumble and makes an interception on back-to-back drives against Auburn on Nov. 12. The Bulldogs convert the mistakes into 14 points to blow open a close game and win 45-7 to clear the last hurdle to winning the East division.

5. Murray to Mitchell. Georgia gives Mark Richt his 100th victory with a 20-12 victory at Tennessee on Oct. 8 that features a 71-yard pass play from Murray to speedy freshman Malcolm Mitchell. The play leads to a 17-yard touchdown run by Isaiah Crowell that puts the game out of reach.

Five key moments for LSU

1. Tyrann Mathieu does it again. Trailing Arkansas 14-7 on Nov. 25, Mathieu returns a punt 92 yards for a touchdown — his third score this season — to tie the game and propel the top-ranked Tigers to a 41-17 win.

2. The sack. In the "game of the century" on Nov. 5, defensive end Sam Montgomery sacks quarterback A.J. McCarron of No. 2 Alabama for a 5-yard loss on third down in overtime. The play forces a 52-yard field-goal attempt that the Tide miss. No. 1 LSU answers with the game-winning field goal.

3. Lee to Randle. Holding a precarious 12-6 lead at Mississippi State on Sept. 15, Jarrett Lee hits Rueben Randle for a 19-yard touchdown pass in the fourth quarter to put the game out of reach. The Tigers move to No. 2 in the polls the following week.

4. The return. The Tigers' 27-6 lead over West Virginia on Sept. 24 is whittled to 27-21 late in the third quarter when Morris Claiborne returns a kickoff 99 yards for a touchdown to propel the Tigers to a 47-21 win. They would ascend to No. 1 when the next polls came out.

5. Mathieu does it the first time. Trailing No. 3 Oregon 6-3 in the second quarter of the season opener, Mathieu forces punt returner Kenjon Barner to fumble at the 3-yard line. Mathieu recovers the fumble and scores to give the Tigers a 9-6 lead.
