Kennesaw State is ranked for the first time in program history.

The Owls (8-2, 3-1 Big South) checked in at No. 22 in the FCS Coaches Poll on Monday after a 45-10 victory over Presbyterian (2-8, 1-4) last week. KSU is still unranked in the FCS Poll, but it is receiving votes.

Saturday the Owls travel to No. 13 Charleston Southern (6-3, 3-1) to close out their season and with a win, they will clinch a share of the Big South championship. KSU cannot however receive the conference's automatic playoff bid because the team fell to Liberty (6-4, 4-1) earlier in the season, giving the Flames the tiebreaker.
