With Everett Golson's transfer from Notre Dame to Florida State set, it's time for more pressing matters — like who's going to win the Heisman Trophy.

There's no doubt Golson's arrival will help FSU remain a power, and Seminoles coach Jimbo Fisher said as much after Golson's announcement.

That said, at least one Las Vegas sports book isn’t completely on board with Golson.

On Wednesday, Bovada.com released its odds for players to win college football's top individual honor, and Golson opens eighth on its list of 34 listed players at 14 to 1. New teammate Dalvin Cook is 40-1.

The only other player from a state school is Miami Hurricanes quarterback Brad Kaaya, who opens at 40-1.

Ohio State running back Ezekiel Elliott starts as the odds-on favorite (6-1), followed by LSU running back Leonard Fournette (15-2) and Mississippi State quarterback Dak Prescott and Georgia running back Nick Chubb, who are both 8-1.

Interestingly, all three Ohio State quarterbacks — Cardale Jones (12-1), Braxton Miller (25-1) and J.T. Barrett (28-1) — stand among the top 16.

For comparison, last year, eventual Heisman winner Marcus Mariota opened betting at 6-1, and 2013 Heisman winner Jameis Winston was 9-2.
