Georgia State came out strong in the second half, but a series of errors on special teams and poor rushing defense were too much to overcome in the 37-23 loss to UL Monroe Saturday.

Warhawks’ (4-6, 3-3 Sun Belt) running back Thomas Koufie turned the Georgia Dome to his personal playground rushing for 201 yards and five touchdowns in the victory. Quarterback Conner Manning kept the Panthers (2-8, 1-5) in the game with his 422 passing yards and three touchdowns, but it was not enough as the home team lost its third consecutive game.
