Lorenzo Carter, Norcross

Position: Defensive end

2013 season wrap-up: Carter helped Norcross win its second Class AAAAAA state championship in a row and was one of the top performers in the Under Armour All-America game.

School's first Super 11 since: Brice Butler in 2007

What's interesting: Norcross coach Keith Maloof says Carter is a better prospect out of high school than Adrian Hubbard, a former Norcross defensive end who played at Alabama and is a top NFL draft prospect. As Hubbard did, Carter plays basketball in high school, but will focus on football in college.

What's interesting: Because of Cedartown's alleged weak schedule, college scouts didn't take Chubb's Nintendo-like statistics seriously until he dominated practices in the 2012 RisingSeniors.com all-star game for the state's top juniors. Last July, Chubb earned five-star status after he finished third out of 161 elite prospects in the SPARQ athletic competition at Nike headquarters.

Malkom Parrish, Brooks County

Position: Quarterback/cornerback

Height, weight: 5-10, 185

Class: Senior

College choice: Georgia

2013 season wrap-up: Parrish passed for 2,600 yards and 18 touchdowns, while rushing for 1,300 yards and 24 touchdowns.

Position: Quarterback

Height, weight: 6-3, 200

Class: Senior

College choice: Clemson

2013 season wrap-up: Watson finished as the state's all-time leader in passing yards and passing touchdowns.
