Four-star center Ikechukwu Obiagu spent Aug. 30 at Georgia Tech for an unofficial campus.

At 7-foot, 230 pounds, Obiagu, a senior from Decatur, Ga., is listed at No. 5 on 247Sports’ list of top recruits in the 2017 signing class and No. 9 on the 2017 ESPN 100 for top center recruits.

Currently gearing up for his senior season at Greenforest McCalep Christian Academy, Obiagu has received an offer from Georgia Tech and is also considering Baylor, Kentucky, Arizona and Georgetown among 25 other offers according to 247Sports.

After his visit to Tech last week, Obiagu visited Maryland on Friday. Maryland is predicted to be a top landing point for Obiagu. Obiagu is also considering Baylor, Kentucky, Arizona and Georgetown among 25 other offers according to 247Sports.

Obiagu begins his senior season with the Greenforest McCalep Eagles against Newton High School in Covington, Ga. on Nov. 15. The Eagles were the Georgia High School Association A-Private School State Champions in 2016 with a record of 31-2, according to Greenforest McCalep website.

In clips from the Eagles' State Championship game, Obiagu towers over teammates and opponants on the high school level. His height gives an edge at the high school level and would also be an asset to the Yellow Jackets, who have no current players over 6-foot-10.
