Led by 33 points from sophomore D’Marcus Simonds, Georgia State cruised to a 90-70 win over Point on Tuesday night at the GSU Sports Arena.
Simonds, who entered the day No. 4 in the Sun Belt in scoring, finished with 30 or more points for the second time in the last three games after scoring a career-high 35 last week. He finished 11-of-18 from the floor, including 6-of-9 from 3-point range and 5-of-6 from the free throw line.
Georgia State (7-3) finished with four players in double figures to win for the fourth time in the last five games.
