The Georgia Bulldogs so far are finding home games against lesser foes more manageable than tough opponents away from home.

Georgia held off Lipscomb for a 84-75 victory Saturday at Stegeman Coliseum. Sophomore forwards Brandon Morris (17 points) and Nemanja Djurisic (15 points) paced the Bulldogs.

It was the second of five straight home games for the Bulldogs, who had been idle since defeating Chattanooga 87-56 on Dec. 2. The Bulldogs (4-4) have won three games in a row since losing to Davidson, Temple and Nebraska at the Charleston Classic.

Georgia played without point guard Charles Mann (knee), the team leader in points and assists.

The Bulldogs appeared on their way to an easy victory when they led 54-35. But the Bisons (4-6) rallied behind Martin Smith, who scored 18 of his game-high 23 points after halftime.

Smith made consecutive 3-pointers to pull Lipscomb within 63-59 with eight minutes to play. Georgia pushed its lead to 71-62 with four minutes left and Lipscomb couldn’t cut its deficit to less than six points from there.
