Josh Tobias’ sacrifice fly in the ninth inning lifted Florida to a 4-3 victory over Florida State on Tuesday night in Tallahassee.

Richie Martin added two RBIs for the Gators (16-18), who avoided suffering a three-game season sweep to the Seminoles (27-6).

UF’s Harrison Bader was 2-for-4 and scored three times, including the go-ahead run after reaching second base to lead off the ninth on a throwing error by FSU third baseman Jose Brizuela. Bader then advanced to third when Seminoles pitcher Robby Coles (2-1) threw wildly on a pickoff attempt.

Gators reliever Daniel Gibson (1-0) pitched two scoreless innings to earn the win. D.J. Stewart went 3-for-4 with a solo home run for the Seminoles, ranked No. 7 in the nation by Baseball America.

Palm Beach State 1, Miami Dade 0: J.D. Underwood threw a no-hitter, striking out 10, as the Panthers (30-15) beat the Sharks in Lake Worth. Jon Corbitt drove in the game's only run in the eighth inning.

Northwood 3, Palm Beach Atlantic 1: The host Seahawks (25-20-1) used a three-run fourth inning to defeat the Sailfish (20-16) and end a six-game skid. Starting pitcher Jake Kutsukos earned the win, allowing one run in five innings.
