With the Atlanta Braves season opener tied 5-5 in the bottom of the ninth, Braves outfielder Nick Markakis stepped up to bat and hit a three-run homer to win the game.

With Charlie Culberson on second and Freddie Freeman on first, Markakis hit the first walk-off of his 13-year career to right center at SunTrust Park and gave the game its winning score, 8-5.
