The Hawks will have two players in NBA Development League action tonight - in two different cities.

The Hawks assigned Mike Muscala to their affiliate in Fort Wayne Friday. The center will play in tonight’s game versus Westchester. Although Fort Wayne also plays at Grand Rapids Saturday, Muscala will likely return for the Hawks game at the Rockets as he seen playing time of late.

The move shows the Hawks’ continued use of the favorable schedules in the D-League to get their young players considerable playing time.

Rookie Adreian Payne remains in Austin on a D-League assignment that started last week. Austin host Canton tonight and Rio Grande Valley Sunday. The first-round pick is in Austin, the affiliate of the Spurs, via the flexible assignment system.

Hawks head coach Mike Budenholzer left practice early Friday to fly to Austin to watch Payne play.
