The 2014 USA Basketball Men’s National Team will hold its training camp July 28-31 at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas. Hawks shooting guard Kyle Korver is currently on the U.S. roster.

Following the daily workouts in Las Vegas, the camp will end with the Blue-White exhibition game on Aug. 1 at UNLV’s Thomas & Mack Center.

Team USA will reassemble in Chicago to train Aug. 14-15. It will play an exhibition game against Brazil at the United Center on Aug. 16. The camp will continue Aug. 17-22 in New York City. Exhibition games will be played Aug. 20 against the Dominican Republic and Aug. 22 at Puerto Rico at Madison Square Garden. Team USA will end its tour Aug. 24-26 on the island of Gran Canaria. An exhibition against Slovenia will be played Aug. 26.

“The 2014 USA National Team tour will offer our players and coaches the opportunity to get familiar with each other and to gain critical international game experience against a variety of differing styles,” said USA and Duke University head coach Mike Krzyzewski in a statement.

The training camp begins the preparation for the United States’ participation in the 2014 FIBA World Cup that will be played Aug. 30-Sept. 14 in Spain. The U.S. will play preliminary round games against the Dominican Republic, New Zealand, Turkey and Ukraine as part of Group C in Bilbao, Spain. The top four teams from each of four groups qualify for the Round of 16. The gold medal game will be Sept. 14 in Madrid.

Korver is one of 28 players named to the 2014-16 USA National Team. The group also includes LaMarcus Aldridge, Carmelo Anthony, Bradley Beal, Tyson Chandler, DeMarcus Cousins, Stephen Curry, Anthony Davis, Andre Drummond, Kevin Durant, Kenneth Faried, Paul George, Blake Griffin, James Harden, Gordon Hayward, Dwight Howard, Andre Iguodala, Kyrie Irving, LeBron James, David Lee, Kawhi Leonard, Damian Lillard, Kevin Love, Chris Paul, Derrick Rose, Klay Thompson, Russell Westbrook and Deron Williams.

The World Cup is the start of the qualifying process for the 2016 Summer Olympics to be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
