Teague misses practice with illness
Hawks starting point guard Jeff Teague missed practice Tuesday due to an illness.
Coach Mike Budenholzer said he was “hopeful” Teague would be able to play in Wednesday’s home game against the Mavericks.
“He is just a little under the weather today,” Budenholzer said. “It’s hard to say (whether he will miss a game). I guess put me as hopeful he will not miss.”
Teague has appeared in 52 of the Hawks’ 56 games this season. He missed one game for rest in January and three others with a left hamstring strain in December.
Teague is second on the Hawks in scoring at 16.8 points per game, just behind Paul Millsap (16.9). His team-leading 7.3 assists are eighth in the NBA.
