Payne scores seven, Jenkins out in D-League games

Hawks rookie Adreian Payne scored seven points for Austin in a 119-105 win over Bakersfiield in NBA Development League assignment game Friday. Meanwhile, John Jenkins missed his game for Idaho with a left hamstring injury.

Payne was 3 of 7 from the floor and had three rebounds, one assist and one turnover in 27 minutes. He is scheduled to play another game versus Reno Sunday before the break for the D-League showcase.

Jenkins was injured Wednesday in a game against Oklahoma City. The 2012 first-round pick did not travel with Idaho for its trip to Sioux Falls Friday and Iowa Sunday.

The Hawks will re-evaluate Jenkins condition and status Monday.
