What they said after the Hawks’ 104-75 win over the Pacers Sunday:
"It was a good win. I think we caught them in a tough spot on a back-to-back. I think defensively and offensively, that's close to what we'd like to look like, when we are playing at a high level on both ends. The pace, getting into the offense, and once we were into the offense, the movement a lot of ways, including the ball movement, was good. It was a good win. A lot of guys played well, including on both ends of the court. That's what we've been wanting." – Hawks coach Mike Budenholzer's opening statement
"Between the ball moving and a couple guys making shots, Kyle (Korver obviously made some 3's, Paul made some 3's, you can get into a situation where they add up quickly. And hopefully we are making it difficult for them to guard us. You've got to get the stops on the other end to make it happen. But there was a lot of examples offensively where that was close to the way we want to play on a regular basis." – Budenholzer on third-quarter run
"Sometimes you catch a good break. Those are two great players. I think this is the fourth time we've played them and one, if not both of them, has had a big game against us. I'm sure we aren't any different than the rest of the league. They are hard to control and contain. We worked as hard as we could. Tonight, like I said, I think we caught a little bit of a break." – Budenholzer on containing Paul George and Monta Ellis
"It was impressive. It was fun to see us playing faster. Paul (Millsap) got hot there for a moment. That was nice. We've been talking about how we've struggled offensively and I think, finally, tonight, we put a good game together. It's still not at our best but it's really good. I'm just very, very satisfied with our performance." – Al Horford on win
"I think it was the momentum. Jeff (Teague) was pushing it. I was pushing it. We were just trying to get the ball moving and play faster. Those shots haven't been falling for us a lot of the time. Tonight, they did." – Horford on third-quarter run
"Man, our guards. Jeff did a great job on Monta Ellis. (Kent Bazemore) and Thabo (Sefolosha) did a great job on Paul George. Those guys were fighting over screens, contesting shots. When they contest at that level, I think it makes us a different team." – Horford on containing Paul George and Monta Ellis
"I think we are on the right track. We've had to adjust our offense a little bit as teams have adjusted to us. It takes time. Luckily, our defense has been there for the last couple months. It's been really good and it's allowing us to find ourselves on the offensive end. I think we are finding new ways to get different guys the ball in new spots and we're starting to play at the right level and things are starting to click at the right time." – Kyle Korver on offense
"It was an emphasis. As a team our defense has been there. It's just been the offense. We've been turning the ball over on fast breaks and have been sloppy with it. I think today we were just all hands on deck on the defensive end and when we got the ball we were pushing it. Coach really made an emphasis on getting the ball out quickly and trying to score before the defense gets set." – Tim Hardaway Jr. on defensive effort
"If we play like this, we are going to be really tough to beat." – Kent Bazemore on win
"We just made it tough. Monta Ellis is super dangerous in transition but our bigs did a great job of getting to the rim and making a crowd. As far as Paul George, also the bigs pressured the ball so that second of hesitation gave the guards a chance to get back and be able to make a play on the ball. The entire team did a great job defensively." – Bazemore on containing Ellis and George
"It was definitely a good step, a step forward. We are still getting better. Defensively, we are pretty good. Offensively, we still need work. We still need to get to our second and third options. Tonight was a big step for us." – Paul Millsap on offense
"You can feel it. You want to continue to press. You don't want to let it die down. We were able to continue to get stops and make shots and continue to feed off the momentum." – Millsap on third-quarter momentum
