Paul Millsap will miss tonight’s Hawks game against the Suns to attend the funeral of his grandfather.

The All-Star power forward is expected to return in time for the Hawks’ game at the Nuggets on Monday, the final of the four-game road trip.

The Hawks will start Tiago Splitter at center and move Al Horford to power forward in the starting lineup in place of Millsap.

Millsap had played, and started, in all 44 games this season. Horford is now the only Hawks player to appear in every game. Millsap leads the team with 18.4 points and 8.8 rebounds per game. He is averaging 18.8 points while shooting .578 percent over the last eight games, including four 20-point outings.

Splitter will make his second start of the season. He is averaging 5.6 points and 3.3 rebounds in 16 minutes in his 31 games.
