The Hawks announced that forward John Collins will miss Friday night’s game against the Chicago Bulls with flu-like symptoms.

Rookie forward Omari Spellman will start in place of Collins, as the Hawks will deploy a three-rookie starting lineup that includes Trae Young, Kevin Huerter and Spellman.

Collins had 34 points and eight rebounds in Wednesday night’s 131-123 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves.

He is the Hawks’ leading scorer in his second season with the team. He is averaging 19.5 points and 9.5 rebounds per game, and he has racked up 24 double-doubles this season for the 21-41 Hawks.

This will be the 17th game that Collins has missed this season. He missed the first 15 games of the season with a left ankle injury before returning Nov. 17.

The Hawks-Bulls game is set for 7:30 p.m. at State Farm Arena.
