Hawks sign Deyonta Davis to 10-day contract

The Hawks signed Deyonta Davis to a 10-day contract on Tuesday. The 6-foot-11 forward was playing in the NBA G League with the Santa Cruz Warriors, where he averaged 9.7 points, 7.5 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.3 blocks in 43 games.

Davis played two seasons with the Grizzlies (2016-18) and appeared in 98 regular-season games, including six starts. He has NBA averages of 4.3 points and 3.2 rebounds in 12.1 minutes.

Davis was the 31st overall selection on the 2016 NBA draft by the Celtics out of Michigan State and his rights were acquired by the Grizzlies on draft night.

He will wear No. 4.
