The Hawks recalled Edy Tavares from a two-game stint in the NBA Development League Friday.
Tavares, the rookie reserve center, played two games for the Austin Spurs earlier this week. He had eight points, four rebounds and three blocks in 23 minutes of a 117-103 loss to the Rio Grande Valley Vipers on Tuesday. He had 11 points and 13 rebounds in 15 minutes of a 95-91 win over the Texas Legends on Wednesday.
Tavares has played in 12 D-League games over seven stints this season, 10 with the Austin Spurs and two with the Canton Charge. He averaged 9.8 points (.672 field-goal percentage), 9.4 rebounds and 2.3 blocks in 21.1 minutes.
