Report card

Offense: D-minus

The Hawks were dreadful in the first half, scoring just 34 points with 17 in each of the first two quarters. The 3-point shooting percentage was significant. They fell behind by 22 points in the second quarter. A third-quarter run pulled the Hawks within nine points or the grade would have been an F.

Defense: D

The Heat controlled the tempo the entire game. They were balanced. The Dwyane Wade-Amar’e Stoudemire pick-and-roll was a threat. The Hawks allowed 20 points in the second quarter but 27, 28 and 30 in the other three.
