The Braves hit a back-to-back milestone this week.

For the first time in Atlanta history, two sets of Braves teammates hit back-to-back home runs in one inning. (The Milwaukee Braves pairs of Joe Torre-Felipe Alou and Hank Aaron-Gene Oliver accomplished the feat June 8, 1965, at Wrigley Field in Chicago.)

Atlanta’s Josh Donaldson-Nick Markakis and Brian McCann-Ozzie Albies followed up 54 years later against the Pirates at SunTrust Park.

Here are five other times the Braves teamed up for a home-run barrage:

• On June 13, 1998, Javy Lopez and Andruw Jones each homered in the second and third inning off Expos pitcher Michael Johnson at Turner Field.
That was just the fourth time in major league history that teammates hit back-to-back homers in consecutive innings.

• The last time four Braves each hit a home run in an inning was May 28, 2003, when Rafael Furcal, Mark DeRosa, Gary Sheffield opened the game with three straight homers off the Reds’ Jeff Austin. Two outs later, Javy Lopez followed up with a homer of his own.

• The last time the Braves hit two pairs of consecutive home runs in the same game was Sept. 27, 2006, at Turner Field against the New York Mets. McCann and Jeff Francoeur hit back-to-back homers in a six-run third inning off starter Pedro Martinez. Francoeur again went yard, followed by rookie Scott Thorman, in the sixth inning off Mets reliever Darren Oliver.

• On April 15, 1994, five Braves players combined for two sets of consecutive home runs in one game.
The Cubs' Anthony Young gave up three straight home runs with two outs in the first inning to Fred McGriff, Terry Pendleton and Tony Tarasco. With one out in the eighth, Deion Sanders and Ryan Klesko hit consecutive dingers off Jose Bautista at Wrigley Field.

• Klesko, McGriff and Justice repeated the feat three days later at Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium, smashing three straight homers — with one out in the first — against the Cardinals’ Rick Sutcliffe.
