The Braves' Julio Teheran pitched a scoreless inning in Tuesday's night's All-Star Game.

Teheran pitched a perfect fifth inning in his first All-Star appearance. He was an All-Star in 2014 but couldn’t pitch in that game after starting the Braves’ final game before the All-Star break.

Teheran retired the side in order on a Manny Machado fly out to the warning track, Edwin Encarnacion’s pop foul to the catcher and Francisco Lindor’s pop fly.

The Royals' Eric Hosmer and Salvador Perez both homered off former Kansas City teammate Johnny Cueto during a six-pitch span in the second inning, Hosmer added an RBI single to become MVP of the All-Star Game.

David Ortiz found himself in the middle of the most touching moment at Petco Park, embraced by his AL teammates near first base after exiting his final All-Star Game. The popular Big Papi plans to retire at 40 after this season with Boston.
