FIRST GAME

Where: Turner Field

When: 1:10 p.m.

TV/Radio: FSSO/680, 93.7, 106.7

Probable starting pitchers: Braves RH Shelby Miller (5-17, 3.15) vs. RH John Lackey (13-9, 2.69)

What's new: After his start was postponed by rain Saturday night, Miller has one last chance this season to break his winless streak (now 24 starts) and it comes against his former team. Miller pitched a gem against the Cardinals in St. Louis on July 25, but lost 1-0 in a typical hard-luck loss for him this season. A.J. Pierzynski needs one more homer to give the Braves a third player with double-digit homers this season. Freddie Freeman has 18 and Cameron Maybin has 10.

SECOND GAME

Where: Turner Field

When: Approximately 30 minutes after conclusion of first game

TV/Radio: FSSO/680, 93.7, 106.7

Probable starting pitchers: Braves RH Matt Wisler (7-8, 5.11) vs. RH Lance Lynn (12-10, 3.06)

What’s new: Wisler will close the season, looking to finish what he started during this last time through the Braves’ starting rotation. He held the Nationals to one run in seven innings in a 2-1 win Tuesday night. That started a stretch that has seen Braves starters go 3-1 with a 0.69 ERA over the past four games. Braves starters allowed two runs in 26 innings over that stretch, walked six and struck out 23. Daniel Castro is doing his part to make a lasting impression as the season winds down, too. He went 3-for-5 with a triple, a homer and two RBIs in the series opener Friday to give him multi-hit games in four of his past 10 starts. He was hitting .276 (21-for-76) in his 19 starts overall at shortstop, second and third base.
