The Braves purged more than a few recognizable faces from the roster, but none hit fans harder than two trades to start and end the season. The Braves shipped closer Craig Kimbrel and outfielder Melvin Upton Jr. to San Diego on the eve of Opening Day. Shocked fans voiced their dismay at the decision. But when Chipper Jones' took to Twitter to calm the hysteria of losing Kimbrel, Braves fans responded en masse finding reason to the move.

Star shortstop Andrelton Simmons' trade to Anaheim in November was met with the same friction from the fan base. It reached boiling point when Simmons himself said he "didn't expect it."
