WASHINGTON – Second baseman Tommy La Stella was scratched from the Braves lineup due to a migraine headache Tuesday night against the Nationals.
There were several changes in the batting order as a result, including right fielder Jason Heyward dropping from the leadoff to fifth, the first time that Heyward batted anywhere but leadoff in his past 25 games.
Emilio Bonifacio moved from second to leadoff in the revised Braves lineup after La Stella was scratched. Phil Gosselin got the start at second base, batting second, and Chris Johnson was bumped from fifth to sixth, La Stella’s spot in the originally posted lineup Monday.
