How the winning run scored: Rochester's Brian Dinkelman led off the seventh inning with a single and scored when the next batter, Oswaldo Arcia, doubled to center field. Dinkelman's run gave the visiting Red Wings a 3-1 lead Wednesday night. The game was called after a rain delay of more than 50 minutes with one out in the bottom of the eighth.

At the plate: Gwinnett's Alden Carrithers was 3-for-3 with two runs scored. Todd Cunningham and Jose Yepez each had two hits. Tyler Pastornicky's single to lead off the bottom of the sixth extended his hitting streak to eight games.

On the mound: G-Braves starter David Hale (1-2) lasted 2 1/3 innings, giving up two runs on two hits and three walks.

Up next for Gwinnett: The G-Braves (25-36) and the Red Wings (28-32) are scheduled to meet at 6:05 p.m. Thursday at Coolray Field in Lawrenceville. Gwinnett plans to start right-hander Omar Poveda (3-3, 3.14 ERA) against righty Vance Worley (1-1, 2.25).
