ARLINGTON, Texas – The Braves’ rotation worked out well with veterans Ervin Santana and Aaron Harang pitching the last two games at Washington and not starting in the weekend series at Texas.
In 17 career starts at Globe Life Park, Santana has a 6.93 ERA and 27 homers allowed — yes, 27 — in 97 1/3 innings. Harang has a 13.22 ERA and seven homers allowed in 16 1/3 innings of four starts at the Texas ballpark….
The Rangers announced a pitching change for Saturday’s game. Rookie right-hander Lisalverto Bonilla make his first major league start in his third appearance. He replaces right-hander Scott Baker, scratched due to triceps tendinitis.
Bonilla will face the Braves’ Julio Teheran at 1:05 p.m. (EDT). Braves lefty Mike Minor will face Colby Lewis in Sunday’s series finale.
