NEXT: VS PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES
Monday
Time: 7:10 p.m.
TV: SPSO
Probable starting pitchers: Braves LH Alex Wood (1-1, 4.03) vs. RH Aaron Harang (0-1, 3.90)
Comment: This is a rematch of the 1-0 Phillies win April 24 at Citizens Bank Park when Harang dominated his former teammates with eight innings of two-hit ball. He's since given up five earned runs in six innings during a loss to St. Louis. Wood pitched 5 2/3 shutout innings on April 24, but the Braves took one of their four straight losses behind him. Wood hasn't won since his first start of the season on April 7 in Miami.
Tuesday
Time: 7:10 p.m.
TV: SPSO
Probable starting pitchers: Braves RH Shelby Miller (3-1, 2.17) vs. RH Chad Billingsley (0-0, 0.00)
Comment: Miller will be trying to get back on the winning track. The Braves won his first four starts before falling 5-1 to the Reds on Thursday. Miller gave up two earned runs, both on homers, in seven innings. Billingsley makes his return to the mound following two elbow surgeries on his ulnar collateral ligament and flexor tendon. This is his first major league action since April 15, 2013, with the Dodgers. He replaces Georgia State product David Buchanan in the Phillies' rotation. Buchanan went 0-5 (8.76 ERA) and was optioned to Triple-A.
Wednesday
Time: 7:10 p.m.
TV: SPSO
Probable starting pitchers: Braves RH Mike Foltynewicz (1-0, 3.60) vs. RH Jerome Williams (2-1, 4.08)
Comment: Foltynewicz makes his second start since being called up from Triple-A Gwinnett to take the fifth starter's job from Trevor Cahill. He will hope to build on his win over the Reds in his first major league start, which included a two-run double in his second major league at-bat. He'll look to be more economical as he needed 94 pitches in five innings, including 28 pitches in the first. Williams got the better of Cahill on April 26, giving up eight hits but only three earned runs in 6 2/3 innings of a 5-4 win.
