Triple-A Gwinnett’s first season as the Stripers will feature an impressive rotation.

Mike Soroka, the Braves’ No. 1 pitching prospect, will start opening night in Norfolk on Friday. He’ll be followed by Matt Wisler, Aaron Blair, Kolby Allard and Lucas Sims.

“We’re pretty excited,” Gwinnett manager Damon Berryhill said. “Especially with the additions of Soroka and Allard. ... I’m really excited about our rotation. We’ve got experience and youth.”

Soroka and Allard rank as consensus top-three pitching prospects in the system. Wisler, Blair and Sims couldn’t break with the big-league team out of spring but could be first in line to join the club upon injury.
