Jace Peterson puts his mark on Jose Bautista punch poster

Bat flips. Slurs. Benches cleared. Players hit by pitch. Tensions were high during the week’s Braves series against the Toronto Blue Jays in Atlanta.

A little levity was inserted by some creative Braves fans who superimposed the face of infielder Jace Peterson on a poster-sized image of infamous bat-flipper Blue Jays’ Jose Bautista taking a punch.

Freddie Freeman expected to miss 10 weeks

Peterson gladly signed the imagery before Thursday’s game at SunTrust Park.

The original image was of a year-old slugfest between Bautista and Texas Rangers second baseman Rougned Odor  -- one of the most hellacious punches every thrown on a baseball field.
