The Braves lineup set to face Zack Greinke tonight in the series opener against the Diamondbacks has hit a collective .130 against him in the past five years.

Three of the batters — Aaron Blair, Adonis Garcia, and Mallex Smith — have never faced Greinke, the 2009 American League Cy Young Award winner. The most successful batters against him are hitting .250 each: Erick Aybar (3-for-12) and A.J. Pierzynski (2-for-8). Pierzynski has the only home run among the group, and he has three RBIs. Aybar has one RBI. No other batter has driven in a run.

Reid Brignac, Kelly Johnson and Nick Markakis are hitless against Greinke in the past five years. They have a combined 14 at-bats against Greinke, nine by Johnson.

Freddie Freeman is 1-for-12 (.083).

The Braves non-pitcher who’s had the most success against Greinke is the past five years will be available to come off the bench. Jeff Francoeur is 2-for-6, with no homers or RBIs.
