The only run allowed by Gwinnett Braves starter Todd Redmond was unearned, but it was enough for the host Durham Bulls to defeat the G-Braves 1-0 on Saturday night.

In the fifth inning, Robinson Chirinos scored on a groundout. Chirinos reached base on one of two hits allowed by Redmond (0-2) in seven innings.

Redmond struck out six and walked one.

The G-Braves mustered four hits, all singles, by four different batters — Jordan Schafer, Diory Hernandez, J.C. Boscan and newly acquired Stefan Gartrell.

The G-Braves (5-4) committed two errors, by Hernandez and Ed Lucas, who was 0-for-4 with four strikeouts.

Durham (6-3) also struggled at the plate, managing three hits, including a double by J.J. Furmaniak.
