Four of the Braves’ key pitching prospects will comprise the starting rotation for the Double-A Mississippi Braves to start this season.

Kolby Allard (3), Mike Soroka (4), Patrick Weigl (9) and Max Fried (10) rank among Baseball America’s top 10 Braves prospects. Allard (37) and Soroka (48) rank among BA’s top 100 prospects in all of baseball.

Baseball America’s top Braves prospect is Dansby Swanson, who has started the season in the big leagues. The other top-10 prospects and where they will start the season: infielder Ozzie Albies (2), Triple-A Gwinnett; right-hander Ian Anderson (5), low Single-A Rome; outfielder Ronald Acuna (6), high Single-A Florida Fire Frogs; and shortstop Kevin Maitan (8), extended spring training.

Other players to watch at Mississippi: righty Chad Sobotka, catcher Kade Scivicque and infielder Travis Demeritte.

The Florida roster includes these highly touted prospects: lefty Luis Gohara, righty Touki Toussaint, third baseman Austin Riley and lefty Ricardo Sanchez. All of them rank in the top 20 of the MLB.com ranking of Braves prospects.
