LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. – There was a familiar figure in a Braves uniform loping around the outfield Sunday, catching fly balls during batting practice. Even at 38, retired and some 1 ½ years since playing his last game in Japan, Andruw Jones made it look easy.

The Braves’ 10-time former Gold Glove winner is in camp as a uniformed guest instructor, but Jones couldn’t resist running around and shagging fly balls the past few days with Braves outfielders, some of them barely half his age.

“He just loves the game,” Braves manager Fredi Gonzalez said. “He’s out there shagging; he’s always done that.”

The Braves announced last week that Jones and team president John Schuerholz would be inducted into the Braves Hall of Fame in August.
