The Braves’ advanced Single-A affiliate, the Florida Fire Frogs, saw eight of its players chosen for the Florida State League All-Star game, the league announced this week.

Five position players are three pitchers were chosen for the game: catcher Alex Jackson, first baseman Carlos Castro, third baseman Austin Riley, outfielders Tyler Neslony and Braxton Davidson, left-handers Drew Harrington and Tyler Pike and right-hander Devan Watts.

The game is scheduled for 7 p.m. June 17 at Joker Marchant Stadium in Lakeland, Fla.

Jackson, 21, is hitting .301 in 39 games this season. He has hit 10 home runs and 12 doubles and has 30 RBIs. He has a .359 on-base percentage and .934 OPS. The Braves acquired Jackson from the Mariners on Nov. 28, along with a player to be named later (who was Pike), for pitchers Rob Whalen and Max Povse. He was a first-round pick by the Mariners in 2014 (sixth overall).

Castro, 23, is hitting .326 in 34 games. He has hit seven homers and has 29 RBIs to go with a .360 OBP and an .875 OPS. The Braves signed him in July 2011 as a 17-year-old. He is from the Dominican Republic.

Riley, 20, is hitting .255 in 54 games, with eight homers and 35 RBIs. He also has hit six doubles and a triple. He has a .316 OBP and a .728 OPS. He was a competitive-balance Round A pick by the Braves in 2015 (41st overall).

Neslony, 23, is hitting .302 in 40 games, with three homers, 14 doubles and 17 RBIs. He has a .382 OBP and an .850 OPS. The Braves drafted him in the ninth round in 2016 out of Texas Tech.

Davidson, 20, is hitting .224 in 48 games, with four homers, seven doubles and 13 RBIs. He has a .371 OBP and a .717 OPS. The Braves drafted him in the first round in 2014 (32nd overall). Braves prospects Sean Newcomb and Touki Toussaint were first-round picks that year. Newcomb went 15th and Toussaint one pick later.

Harrington, 22, had made 10 starts this season and is 4-4 with a 3.38 ERA. He has pitched 50 2/3 innings and struck out 41, to go with 12 walks and 55 hits allowed. Opponents are hitting .281 against him. Harrington was a third-round pick by the Braves in 2016 out of Louisville (80th overall).

Pike, 23, has made 11 starts this season. He is 4-2 with a 2.13 ERA in 63 1/3 innings. He has recorded 62 strikeouts and walked 25, to go with 46 hits allowed. Batters are hitting .206 against him. He was a Compensation B-round pick by the Mariners in 2012 (126th overall).

Watts, 22, has pitched in 15 games this season, all in relief. He has a 1.74 ERA with no decisions, pitching 20 2/3 innings. He has struck out 27 while allowing only 14 hits and six walks. He is 4-for-4 in save opportunities. He was a 17th-round draft choice in 2016 out of Tusculum.
