Dansby Swanson participated in full workouts Friday and likely will come off the disabled list Saturday.

Swanson was placed on the DL on May 4 with left-wrist inflammation. He exited the May 2 game in New York as a precautionary measure and was battling wrist soreness in the days before.

He played in a rehab game with Single-A Rome on Wednesday, going 2-for-4. Swanson received a “recovery day” Friday.

“You can throw good one day, but if you don’t recover well the next day, you have to work out some of the kinks,” Swanson said. “It all worked great. I feel good today. Obviously a little sore, just my whole body getting back in game shape.”

Swanson took batting practice and was full-go for Friday workouts. If there were no setbacks, he’ll return Saturday, manager Brian Snitker indicated.

“I’m hoping so, but at the end of the day it’s not my call,” Swanson said. “I just keep my head down and continue to get better. Just putting myself in position to do what I’m called upon to do.”

Swanson, 24, slashed .289/.336/.430 with 11 extra-base hits and 13 RBIs across 28 games. His performance dropped off in the 11 games before his injury (he hit .186 with a .441 OPS), though he didn’t attribute that to his wrist.
