Three of the last four years of inductees into the baseball’s Hall of Fame have included at least one Brave.

Manager Bobby Cox and pitchers Tom Glavine and Greg Maddux entered in 2014. John Smoltz was inducted in 2015. Former GM John Schuerholz will enter this year as a unanimous entry by the Today's Game Era Committee, formerly known as the veterans committee.

This year's players class includes Jeff Bagwell, Tim Raines and Ivan Rodriguez.

Two former players become eligible on next year’s ballot: Andruw Jones and Chipper Jones.

Andruw Jones played 12 years for the Braves, from 1996 to 2007, and during that time earned 10 consecutive Gold Glove awards and five All-Star selections. The center fielder hit 434 home runs.

Andruw Jones was inducted into the Braves Hall of Fame in 2016.

Third baseman Chipper Jones spent his entire 19-year career with the Braves, retiring after the 2012 season.

An eight-time All-Star who finished in the top 10 in MVP balloting six times, Jones retired as the Atlanta-era Braves career leader in most major hitting categories, batting .303 with 2,726 hits, 468 home runs (third all-time for switch-hitters), 1,512 walks, 1,623 RBIs and 1,619 runs in 2,499 games. He had a .401 career on-base percentage, a .529 slugging percentage, 549 doubles, 150 stolen bases and more walks than strikeouts (1,409), never striking out 100 times in a season.

Jones won a batting title in 2008 when he hit .364 with a .470 OBP at age 36.

To gain entry into the Hall of Fame, a player needs 75 percent of the vote.
